Beever and Struthers

Ahead of their relocation to One Express in Ancoats in Manchester, chartered accountants, Beever and Struthers, engaged Urbanise to deliver a full strip out and refurbishment of their second floor office.

We brought extensive experience to the project, having already completed circa £7.5M worth of works across both the One Express and Two Express buildings. We partnered with In4M Property Consultants to deliver the works, continuing our long-standing relationship.

Architects, stephenson hamilton risley STUDIO, were once again part of project team. We worked closely with their lead architect, John Boardman, to integrate the design vision for the building into this specialist fit out to allow continuity of design.

Professional services fit out

The brief for the 11,003 sq ft office was to create an open plan, hybrid appropriate workspace with a range of areas to suit different tasks. The space was designed to promote collaboration, innovative thinking and knowledge sharing among Beever and Struthers’ teams.

To achieve this, we carried out a full mechanical upgrade, followed by the formation of new spaces with the introduction of specialist glazing, finishing with floor coverings and decoration.

In addition to the main office space, we created several specialist breakout spaces and areas for employees to reflect, relax and recharge away from the main hive of activity.

Project challenges

We delivered the project while the building was in operation, so it was imperative that disruption was kept to a minimum. We developed a detailed logistics plans and strategies for the delivery and removal of materials, whilst ensuring communication with tenants was frequent and thorough.

Building on long standing relationships

The project was successfully handed over in summer 2022 and Beever and Struthers are delighted with their new workspace, which not only provides a productive work environment for their teams, but will also help to attract and retain talent.

"This fabulous new space is designed for effective teamwork, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and a more enjoyable working day in a thriving diverse neighbourhood. Who wouldn’t want that?"
