Phoenix
Following Urbanise’s ongoing collaboration with Capital & Centric on Eyewitness Works in Sheffield, the developer asked us to deliver another renovation project – this time at the Phoenix residential scheme in Manchester. The goal was to merge two top-floor apartments into an impressive penthouse for the owner of the apartments.
From functional to aesthetic
Firstly, our team removed the dividing wall between the two apartments to merge them into a single unit. We then made mechanical alterations and connected all electrical systems to the same circuit for the newly integrated apartment.
After making the functional alterations, we delivered the fit out to meet the owner’s requirements. We upgraded the bathroom to a larger, higher quality specification. We installed new lighting to enhance the apartment’s ambiance, complemented by the laying of new flooring throughout. Lastly, we redecorated, ensuring the penthouse met the owner’s standards and was move-in ready.
Project challenges
As with all residential projects, we were faced with some challenges. The other apartments within the building were occupied during the renovation. We carefully tailored the work schedule to minimise noise and disruption and we worked closely with Capital & Centric to ensure residents were kept well informed of the work taking place.
As the building was in operation, waste had to be broken down for convenient transportation in the building’s lifts. This was a time consuming process, but we still managed to deliver the project on time and within budget.
A high-end home
Both Capital & Centric and the property owner were delighted with the workmanship and high-end fit out. The owner soon moved into their newly transformed penthouse, enjoying the luxurious space and contemporary design.
