Regency Court
Urbanise was chosen to transform an unused office space above a popular city centre bar into a dynamic work environment for Sedulo, a leading accountancy firm. With a design approach of ‘light and bright’, we worked as project manager and main contractor to develop a highly stylised office space with a unique look and feel.
A project of many levels
Tasked with design, specification and fit out, we transformed three floors of unused office space in the heart of Manchester. Based on Sedulo Founder Paul Cheetham-Karcz’s vision, the workspace is centred around The Regency Club, a stylish bar that wows clients and visitors and doubles up as a breakout area for employees, as well as an event space. The space also features an open plan office and client area with rentable ‘entrepreneur rooms’. Heading skywards, we created Rooftop at the Regency, a fully stocked tiki bar, with artificial grass and decking for summer get-togethers and events.
Adapting to location challenges
The office’s busy location required innovative thinking and meticulous planning – we mastered a skip filling and removal technique that discreetly took care of waste and worked closely with suppliers to stagger deliveries.
Following the success of the project, we were later re-engaged to work on Sedulo’s Leeds and Liverpool offices.
