We’re excited to share news of our latest project where we’ll be undertaking cladding remediation at The Exchange in Croydon’s Old Town Centre. This site, formerly a telephone exchange, has been reimagined into a modern residential complex, housing 66 private apartments and ground-floor retail units.

At Urbanise, we’re becoming more widely known for our expertise in cladding remediation, so being chosen for this project is great news, especially as we expand our national reach.  We appreciate the trust of Watts Project Management (part of Watts Group Limited) who we’ve worked with previously on a number of projects.

As we prepare to start construction in May, our focus is on ensuring safety and compliance. We’re committed to meeting the standards set by recent legislation, prioritising the well-being of residents and properties. This project aligns closely with the legislation passed in 2022, emphasising the importance of safety and compliance in all aspects of construction and renovation.

This project is about more than just construction; it’s about building a safer environment for everyone involved, a subject we should all be interested in as we construct a better built environment.

“The team at Urbanise is thrilled to be working on this project,” says Matt Kimber, Operations Director. “It’s an opportunity for us to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of the building’s residents.”
